Resize an image for a clearer, lighter page
Match image dimensions to its destination and choose an export format.
Start with an original
Open a JPG, PNG, or WebP file in ImageFit. The preview shows the source image and its dimensions. A small source cannot gain genuine detail by being enlarged. Keep the original file and make a separate exported version for the intended destination. Files above 20 MB or images above 40 million pixels are rejected to keep the browser workspace manageable.
Keep the proportions
With Keep proportions enabled, changing one dimension updates the other based on the original aspect ratio. Turning it off permits a different width and height but can stretch the image. ImageFit resizes the full image; it does not crop or remove the background. Use ClearCut first when you need a cutout, then resize the exported result.
Choose the export format
PNG preserves transparency and works well for screenshots and graphics. JPEG is useful for photographs; transparent areas are filled with white in this export. WebP can provide smaller files, but check that your destination accepts it. The quality control affects JPEG and WebP compression, while PNG uses its own lossless encoding.
Download and inspect the result at its intended display size. Lower quality can reduce file size but introduce visible artifacts around text and sharp edges. ImageFit works locally in your browser. The source stays local unless you are signed in and choose Save work or Download image. Those actions save the source and export settings to your private Saved work list. Guests can process and download without an account.
